Do you possess an HP printer? To understand How to connect HP Printer to Wi-Fi, we provide you guidelines to connect HP printer to Wi-Fi either using WPS or Wi-Fi protected set up

To connect your printer using WPS on your wireless HP printer,

  • Ensure that your printer supports WPS push-button mode, a router comes with a WPS button, and a wireless network using a WPA or WPA2 password.

  • There is an added advantage when you connect your printer using WPS. You do not need a computer to connect your printer to the internet connection

  • Your computer may ask you to enter a WPS PIN, select Cancel. If it happens during the connection process, or when the installation of the software for your printer begins.

  • The computer will detect the Wi-Fi direct feature of your printer and this is not part of the WPS set up. For printers with a wireless button, press and hold the button for almost 3 seconds till the wireless light flashes

If your printer doesn’t have a wireless button

  • You can search for the control panel in your printer. If it exists, go to the network settings or wireless settings from the menus

  • Click Wi-Fi protected set up and touch push button and then enter the start option

  • On the router, press and hold the WPS button until the WPS light flashes

  • It can take up to 2 minutes for your printer to have the connection established with the router

  • Now using your printer with the wireless network, start installing the software or driver on your computer or mobile phone and print your documents with uninterrupted connection
